MIFWA is proudly involved in the Active Recovery Team (ART) funded by the WA Mental Health Commission. MIFWA provides Peer Workers to community mental health clinics and they work alongside clinicians and other NGOs to support people within a multidisciplinary team for a period of up to 90 days.

MIFWA provides Peer Workers to five community mental health clinics:

  • Four Adult Community Mental Health Clinics in the East Metropolitan Health Service (Armadale, Bentley, City East and Midland Adult Community Mental Health Clinics)
  • The Youth Community Assessment and Treatment Team which is part of the Youth Mental Health Service at Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group

How it works

All referrals for MIFWA’s Active Recovery Team must come through the Assessment and Treatment Teams at these clinics.
