The theme for Schizophrenia Awareness Week 2022 is ‘Connecting with HOPE’.
The emphasis for this year’s campaign is connecting with real-life stories that talk about what it’s like to live with schizophrenia or psychosis. The campaign will also place importance on finding connections and curating connections to form a strong team to support people with psychosis.
Every year, the Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (MIFA) in conjunction with MiNetworks partner organisations develops a national awareness-raising and anti-stigma media campaign for Schizophrenia Awareness Week 2022 (SAW 2022) in May. The campaign plays a vital role in encouraging people to reach out when they need help, that they are not alone, and that recovery is possible.
Schizophrenia Awareness Week will be held from Sunday 22 May to Saturday 28 May in 2022, with World Schizophrenia Awareness Day taking place on Monday 24 May 2022.
