During Carers Week 2023, MIFWA hosted an Art Therapy Activity event open to all Carers, no experience required. The focus and enjoyment were evident throughout the day, with many saying they could have kept going on their art master pieces.
This was a community event supported by Carers WA and Lotterywest as part of Carers Week 2023.

Experienced facilitator, Paul gently led carers to reflect on their caring roles and to look at self-compassion through art. He had a huge range of art supplies for them to choose from.

When reflecting on their art works, carers shared openly the more challenging aspects of being a carer and felt supported by other carers.
